Paul's critics/opponents in Corinth commended themselves and denigrated Paul according to their:
- commanding presence (2 Cor 10:1, 10).
- concrete displays of power and authority (2 Cor 11:19-20).
- impressive speech (2 Cor 11:20-21).
- worthiness to accept full compensation (2 Cor 11:7-11).
- Jewish pedigree (2 Cor 11:21b-22)).
- endurance of hardships (2 Cor 11:23-29).
- mystical visions (2 Cor 12:1-6).
