I. What love is

• God is love (1 Jn 4:8, 16).
• Not words or feelings, but a practical demonstration (Rom 5:8; Jn 3:16).
  

II. Why we love

• God first loved us (1 Jn 4:19).
• God redeemed us from slavery (Dt 5:15; 15:15).

III. How to love

• Monotheism (Dt 6:4).
  
• Love others (Jn 13:34; Lev 19:18; Mt 22:39; Mk 12:31).

IV. Practically

• Accountability (Heb 3:13).
