- * It's good to suffer loss, for it draws me to the Cross where God's loss is more than what anyone ever lost. * We cannot hear what the stories of the Bible are saying until we hear them as stories about ourselves. * Let go of control. * Trust God. Thank God. Think about God. Talk to God. Talk about God.

Love (Dt 6:5)
Deuteronomy 6:4-5 (The Shema)
"Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength."
- What love is
- Why we love
- How to love
- God is love (1 Jn 4:8, 16).
- Not words or feelings, but a practical demonstration (Rom 5:8; Jn 3:16).
II. Why we love
- God first loved us (1 Jn 4:19).
- God redeemed us from slavery (Dt 5:15; 15:15).
